Falklands Diary '82 - May 19, I left my younger brother Adrian on board Canberra with 42 Cdo. He saw me off in an LCU. He didn't move, he just remained there, leaning on a deck rail. Eventually over distance I couldn't make him out. I was concerned I'd never see him again....

81 years ago this morning of the 19 Lancasters that went to the Ruhr Valley 8 failed to return, and 53 out of 133 men also failed to return to RAF Scampton, 617 Sqn were now the Dambusters and legends were made and will never be forgotten.
