I recently learned that colleagues for whom English is not their native language send their manuscripts to professional editors prior to journal submission at a cost of approx $750 per manuscript. Another global north privilage within research that needs to be addressed.

Fully agree. dplyr won't work in R for me right now because of a version issue and I have 3 options: 1) update and risk issues with other, vital packages, 2) update and then switch between versions so all packages work, or 3) Don't use dplyr.
