For the 2nd time today both Ambulances were out of town at local hospitals. Leaving only 1 FF in town, requiring personnel to be recalled from home. Mutual aid has been requested twice today for additional emergencies On pace for our busiest year on record #staffingmatters

This morning, Ashland Firefighters responded to Spring St where a special needs van struck a tree. Three patients were transported with minor injuries. Thank you to @hfdlocal3772 for assisting with a mutual aid ambulance.

Sending prayers down to our brothers and sisters in Baltimore after the tragic multiple line of duty deaths this morning while operating at a building fire. A 4th firefighter remains in critical but stable condition. Please keep all of them and their families in your thoughts.

Be advised that tomorrow there will be an increased presence of military aircraft, primarily helicopters, flying in the Boston area. This activity is part of ongoing military training in the area and has been coordinated with the appropriate authorities.

Group 1 with 10 calls in before 6pm. 3 department recalls for off duty personnel were requested throughout the day today. Both Ambulances were out of town at a local hospital leaving only 1 Firefighter in town. Mutual aid from Hopkinton responded this morning for a gas leak.

Group 1 out conducting “First Due” pump operations this afternoon on Engine 1. Crews utilized a Blitz Gun and multiple hand lines simulating heavy fire conditions and establishing a water supply. Engine 1 is a 2017 E-One Pumper with a 750 gallon water tank and 30 gals foam

The doors close for one last night on Main Street tonight. 95 years later, the historic downtown firehouse will see its final shift change tomorrow morning at 8am. During the day tomorrow, the Station 1 crew and equipment will make the move to the new Fire Headquarters

The Ashland Fire Department and our prehospital Paramedics were recently awarded the Mission Lifeline: EMS Silver Award from the American Heart Association. This award makes our department part of an elite group of prehospital providers recognized by the AHA.

Today marks the 60th Anniversary of the Centre Coal Company Fire in Framingham that took the lives of 3 Ashland Firefighters. Fire Chief Charles H. Moran, Lieutenant Norman E. Barry & Firefighter John Rebenacker were killed in the line of duty May they continue to rest in peace

Chief Robie and L1893 members are pleased to announce that the Ashland, Hopkinton & Southborough Fire Departments have been awarded and accepted an Assistance to Firefighters Grant from FEMA in the amount of $1,014,138.00 to be used for new self contained breathing apparatus.
