If I had to guess, other students of color who are dark or who do not present as white Jews or light skin Arabs are facing unique forms of racism that the university is failing to address. Yet they are all still there, holding each other down, keeping the organizing on Gaza

There are no emails. No statements condemning anti-Black racism. No messages from the White House. The most antisemetic, anti-Arab, and anti-Black actions that have happened on campus have been *against* the organizers, including white Jewish students

Liberal racists fear losing justice oriented Black people as a public moral compass for their issue, and this fear manifests when you look at the 100% white counter protests

racists refuse to fathom that Black people have ideas, opinions, disagreements, and stakes in anything besides “police brutality” or voting. It’s so absurd

our multi-racial, intergenerational movements threaten people who don't care to understand what Black people have at stake in Palestinian liberation- which ironically includes the liberation of Black Palestinians

sharing this because of the dialogue about who is 'safe' at Columbia: many white people in + around campus have been completely racist towards Black students and staff, especially those who wear keffiyehs. Calling students monkeys, saying they (we) can't read, find Gaza on a map

There's a ton of Black-led institutions living off the cache and social capital of Black Radicalism that actively block it from ever reaching everyday Black people in any substantive form. It's a major headache for any serious organizing but it must be struggled against.
