"Acting is always the hardest part." Watching this interchange between George Lucas and me, from 20 years ago, reminds me of how much fun I had working with him. Animation is a collaborative and iterative process. We were striving for subtle nuance in the performance.

I was sent, by Rick McCallum & George Lucas, to Sydney to direct the 2nd Unit pick-up shoot with the Wookiees. It was an amazing opportunity and experience.

For those of you who love Dastardly & Muttley, do yourselves a favour, and watch “The Great Race” (1965) and you will find that the marvelous Jack Lemmon, as Professor Fate, was the inspiration.

I highly recommend that you read this fascinating & insightful interview with George Miller. It reminded me how lucky I was to be the Animation Director on “Happy Feet Two.” I worked side-by-side with George for two years; he is a brilliant thinker, and a master storyteller.

Hey, I worked on that movie. I even got to fly the Enterprise (well, I got to animate it flying) 😊
