The 2024 YSN-ASM Colloquium officially commenced on 8 November 2024, bringing together 98 members of the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) from across the nation.

In the evening, all eight of YSN-ASM’s Working Groups (WG) presented their progress reports, showcasing the activities and accomplishments of each WG throughout the year. This session underscored the collaborative efforts and impactful contributions of the network.

The first day concluded with an engaging session led by Professor Ts Dr. Nurfadhlina Sharef and Professor Ir Dr Denny Ng Kok Sum on reshaping YSN-ASM. The discussion revolves around the refinement to the structure of YSN-ASM to enhance its effectiveness.

Day 2 of the YSN-ASM 2024 Colloquium commenced with YSN-ASM members and affiliates familiarising themselves with the network’s vision and mission through a comprehensive SWOT analysis. During this session, members identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

initiatives, and more. The session included a strategic planning overview for 2025, inviting YSN-ASM members and affiliates to actively participate in impactful initiatives at both national and international levels.

The evening concluded with a gala night, featuring a special appointment ceremony for the newly appointed members. The new executive committee (EXCO) lineup for 2025 was announced and appreciation was extended to the outgoing Exco members for their invaluable contributions.

Congratulations to the newly elected YSN-ASM Executive Committee for 2024/2025. The committee will lead and manage YSN-ASM's activities, ensuring effective coordination and continued progress in all initiatives.
