Please contact me directly if interested! We have innovative tools for studying immune/microbiota interaction, potentially impactful projects and a kind and generous group of scientists

As a society, we have got to ask ourselves if we are comfortable living in a country where the top 1% own more wealth than the bottom 92%. This is not just an issue of economics — this is an issue of our morality.

Every doctor owes it to the patient sat in front of them to be up to speed on the latest research. Sounds more obvious than it sometimes plays out. In #IBD, a good example of this is diet studies. Patients shouldn't face a brick wall because of their doctor's own disinterest.

@aeoveracre and I wrote a review combining my fave topics 1) memory T cells 2) microbiota 3) tissue resident immune cells Mucosal Immunology Hope you find it informative! rdcu.be/cHwPO

Check it out to learn more about microbes and their impact on tissue resident memory T cells (and how this could affect cancer prognosis!). New review by HandLab and me out in Mucosal Immunology now! nature.com/articles/s4138…

Drs. Hand (HandLab) and Overacre-Delgoffe (@aeoveracre) at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh hypothesize that memory responses to antigens from the #microbiota must be ‘licensed’ by inflammatory signals activated by the invasion of the host by microorganisms 🦠. go.nature.com/3BT2J64
