For those keen eyed people, you'll notice that, yes, that is a picture of the back of me from my People & Planet days being used to recruit this time around!
These roles at P&P are fabulous, one the best gateways into climate and migrant campaigning as a job that there is ✊

Brilliant news - great decision by all the Brighton and Hove councillors who have voted unanimously to let the restoration work on the Hippodrome continue. It will be amazing to see this historic venue come back to life properly!

care workers drive more miles than 95% of us, spending a fortune on fuel while doing some of the worlds most important work.

if we got them in electric cars we’d cut carbon from some of the highest emitters while saving Β£ for some of the lowest earners.

This data from the LGANews survey is needed, further showing that a lack of national leadership & funding makes net zero work at a local level hard.
This chimes with what Climate Emergency UK say in their recent report, calling for a funded statutory duty on climate for councils.

Join us in person next month to see what factors enable council climate action, and discuss how we can get the funding and policies councils need from national government to go further.

Lovely to be at SECA annual gathering. Hearing about what residents across the South East are doing to push for climate action at a local and regional level, working together and using the Climate Emergency UK Scorecards.
