One of our lovely volunteers ran an art session for the patients today!🤩 Our ward volunteers are an essential part of the team and help us engage patients in activities away from their bed space! This is so important when trying to prevent deconditioning ReconditionTheNation

Wimbledon has arrived to reduce deconditioning!🎾 Patients, staff and visitors enjoyed our tennis themed competitions & games held in the dayroom💪🏼 After lots of movement & laughter, everyone enjoyed refreshments and watching Wimbledon on the big screen!🍓 ReconditionTheNation

Patients were encouraged to mobilise to the dayroom this afternoon for a live music performance🎤 There was lots of engagement and enjoyment, with patients requesting their favourite songs and singing along! The session was supported by two of our fantastic ward volunteers🎶

Todays activity to help prevent deconditioning was a seated exercise group that gave rehabilitation to 9 of our patients. At least an hour of physical, mental and social activity complete before 11:30! ReconditionTheNation
