We are really pleased with the results for all our Manchester Labour 🐝 candidates in the local elections in Manchester Withington.
A full set of wins for Labour in every ward to elect local and hard working councillors to stand up for their communities.🌹

I'm so happy that Debbie (left), our passionately committed councillor who works her socks off for this ward, has been re-elected and will continue serving us in Didsbury West!
Thanks to everyone who voted for Debbie, and everyone else who helped her campaign!

Thank you to all who voted. Thank you to the wonderful team of Labour councillors, officers and campaigners for making a positive difference in our community and in our city. Very proud to serve with Leslie Bell, James Wilson Andrew Simcock Jeff Smith 🌹🌳🐝
I'm also delighted that our good friend Leslie Bell, who was born in what's now Didsbury West, has been elected over the road in Didsbury East, to serve as a councillor alongside Linda Foley, who's been re-elected, and of course Andrew Simcock.
Here I am 30 yrs after my first foray into local elections. All ready to take the speaker car out to support Andy Burnham, Linda Foley & Leslie Bell in #Didsbury East, Councillor Debbie Hilal in #Didsbury West, Bev Craig in Burnage & Gavin White in Old Moat. Good luck everyone!
Just 2 days to go till polling day on May 2nd.
Make a plan to vote Labour on Thursday in Old Moat, and re-elect Andy Burnham and myself to continue to stand up for our local community.🌹

Very pleased to have this letter printed in today's The Daily Telegraph (even if they have amended my title from 'Chair' to 'Chairman'!) refuting their columnist's views that modern statues have had their day. Hazel Reeves Emmeline Pankhurst in Manchester is excellent. Public Statues and Sculpture Association
Today Andy Burnham joined Jamie, Noah, Helen, Gordon and others at the wonderful Didsbury Good Neighbours group in Didsbury Park for their Friendship and Memories session. So important to get neighbours together to avoid people becoming isolated.
Pleasure to meet Andy BurnhamMayor of Greater Manchester Councillor Debbie Hilal and Leslie Bell at Didsbury Good Neighbours this afternoon. Thanks to Jamie and the Memories group for your welcome and Andrew Simcock who brought the Emmeline Pankhurst statuette. Great chat 😁

Thank you to Greater Manchester Police for their continued presence in #Didsbury Village. That, plus our new CCTV cameras, is helping to reduce anti-social behaviour. Linda Foley Leslie Bell
