As different as they sound, Sajjad Ali's Ravi and Keane 's Somewhere Only We Know are both about the same longing for a place/a phase in life marked by a charming innocence that got left behind somehow but continues to have a strong pull. Good music is magical.

People who grew up watching movies on Doordarshan in the 90s and 2000s, raise your ✋! Ps - Had planned to tweet this from AmitTweetsMusic but can't upload long videos there. So, uploading here.

Going through the replies made me realise that Dev Anand had amazing songs sung by both Rafi and Kishore for him, not something that can be said for either Rajesh Khanna (who mostly preferred Kishore) or Amitabh (who didn't have Rafi sing a lot for him).

Don't know why I find it so hard to do away with my college notes. The field I work in doesn't even have anything to do with what I studied in college years. And yet, despite moving so many cities, I somehow fail to let go of a few diaries. This one is from the 1st year of MA.

Sunidhi Chauhan can sing a million songs but the way she starts Lagi Lagi from Aksar will never be topped. Absolutely oozing sexiness. The song is absolute fire, man. The vocals, the music, the beat everything just works perfectly. In gen z lingo, this song still slaps.

For my book project, I'm looking to speak to mothers who are/have been fans of Hindi films, for an in-depth conversation. If your mother is one, or you are one, could you please DM me? Will share the details there :) (Especially looking for people based outside the metro cities)

What a spy show I watched where operatives are talking to the spymasters sitting across the border continuously on the telephone. The content being produced for the OTTs is now at the same level as it was for Doordarshan 2 decades ago. That bad. Just visually better.

Surely I'm not the only one who got Jim vibes from her in The Paper? She's the only sensible character and also smiles at the camera like Jim at times. Don't know how much I liked the show (surely didn't dislike it), but I'm really keen to see more of Mare Pritti. #ThePaper

Kennedy's cinematography is as premium as it gets. Such a well made film with the music playing a huge role. The only thing that didn't work for me was the countdown because somewhere the payoff doesn't meet the hype. Bhat is brilliant. Loved the guest appearance by वरुण 🇮🇳

Farida Jalal, where were you all this while? I really didn't think I would miss her so bad after watching her in The Great Shamsuddin Family. What an actress. So effortless even now.

Have said it in the past and will say it again. It's the industry's loss that people like Kritika Kamra and Shreya Dhanwanthary aren't seen in more films. Bollywood just doesn't write scripts for good actresses. Or maybe such movies don't get greenlit only. Even Juhi Babbar was good!

Please share! Four broke guys made Mayasabha in 2018 with 19 young teammates, on a 7 figure budget. Almost zero-budget filmmaking without losing production values, without industry support, is possible. You may like or dislike Mayasabha, but it proves one thing: it’s possible.

I didn't like the songs of Tere Ishk Mein much before watching the film. Only liked the title song for the music (not the lyrics which I felt found surprisingly lazy). But after watching the movie, I am listening to Awara Angaara, Deewana Deewana and Usse Kehna on loop. Love them

Why couldn't Hamza say that the man killed in this scene was an Indian spy and attacked him, especially since he was coming from India, and that's why he killed him? Curious
