Listening to this masterpiece on my roadtrip. Every internist and gastroenterologist should give it a listen, the way we approach Acute Pancreatitis has shifted drastically from what we were taught in medical school! ACG AJG - The American Journal of Gastroenterology #MedTwitter
Props to Jordan Karlitz, MD, FACG, AGAF, Jennifer Kolb and Christine Molmenti for this important reminder in AJG - The American Journal of Gastroenterology, a guideline which is often overlooked and underacknowledged.

An important takeaway for #ColonCancerAwareness month:
If u have a 1st degree relative w/ advanced polyp:
♦️TA > 1 cm ( or w/ villous features or HGD),
♦️SSP > 1 cm, or
♦️Trdl serrated adenoma
Then u should get screened at 40 or 10 yrs before the family member was diagnosed!
NEW: An analysis published by AJG - The American Journal of Gastroenterology estimates women will account for 43% of all alcohol-associated liver disease costs by 2040, up from only 29% in 2022. Public health experts find this trend troubling.
