Battersea parkrun UK this morning was the largest in the country in its second week. I remember a deputation coming to the Environment Committee of people saying it would ruin the park & cause endless problems - glad we passed it! Great to have an event that brings so much joy.

We had a wonderful evening with Katherine May for a Q&A on her book ‘Wintering’. We talked about a huge range of subjects including wintering rituals, cultural differences in how people read the book, cold water swimming bucket lists, and how to inspire others to slow down.

I created the London Borough of Culture to bring culture to underserved communities. It’s the DNA of our city. Strictly Wandsworth brought together more than 200 dancers from local groups - the biggest dance event the borough has seen. I can’t wait to see what’s next in 2025!
