The EU joining consensus for this annual resolution is the right signal. Language on #reparations has previously been one of the reasons why European states called for a vote. Communities' right to reparation to address lasting impacts of colonial legacies is non-negotiable.

Chancellor #Merz' statements are entrenched in systemic #racism, they aren't just individual racist statements. He's defending existing structural discrimination based on race/ethnicity/religion/status...instead of fulfilling #Germany's duty to end such discrimination.
