NO NO NO! We have literacy institutes across the state. They are our public schools. Please put this funding into ensuring our teachers are adequately prepared to teach reading based on the evidence base.

Friends, please join me for this important conversation. NM has done a lot to help turn the tides in literacy instruction but we have a long way to go if we intend to ensure that all children in NM have access to high quality literacy instruction.
