Came across this example of a circular sheepfold whilst on a walk in the the Lake District. Apparently the circle is useful in heavy snow in the fells because the sheep keep moving around the circle to keep warm as they don’t get stuck in a corner. #circles #maths

Y6 used this puzzle from JoAnn Sandford HRCE Math today as we revisited one quadrant coordinates to assess understanding. They loved finding the mystery coordinates from the clues. They could choose to use a grid or plain paper to help or some even visualised it.
