Congrats to iowa city west mens xc Alex McKane! Guy is on a tear: MVC Supermeet champion, Divisional Meet champion, Athlete of the Year! Also...personal best for Alex - he got within 10 meters of me on the lead cart, forced me to floor it!

When we invited ashlyn keeney and Alex McKane to be on our Track Guy podcast a few weeks ago, our hope was that we didn’t somehow jinx them. Well, that is far from the the case. Both won MVC Super Meet titles last week and conference division titles today!

Wouldn’t want anyone else in my corner through this journey. It’s been a blessing and a quite the ride. One more go around this spring that is going to be special.

However this year, this class of guys took it a step further. the sportsmanship in the distance races through cross country and track was unlike I have ever seen. Across all classes, rivals, and unfamiliar foes. It was awesome to watch and something special has truly arrived.
