I don’t think anyone of us can deny it. We can all sense it. It’s Cork’s time. And I don’t just mean hurling. There’s something going on down there. It’s the dawn of Cork and we all know it.

So first Cork City Council make shite out of Carroll's Bog. And now they've closed it! Any official updates from the exec Ard Mhéara Chorcaí, Cllr. Dan Boyle Pádraig Rice yet?

This is the first year that Cork have been in an All Ireland since my Dad died, and I will miss all the ticket madness that he had down to a tee! Bouncing around Dublin from the Burlington to Buswells trying to get ticket swaps in the late 90's, mad phone calls day & night!

It would be great for Ard Mhéara Chorcaí, Cllr. Dan Boyle to visit Waterford City Centre Waterford City & County Council to see how well pedestrianisation has worked there - beautiful open spaces at John Robert's Square, the covered area at Apple Market. Thriving, vibrant city centre with fantastic placemaking efforts!

Really interesting to see DAA CEO Kenny Jacobs say numbers Cork Airport might reach 4 million next year - that would represent almost a million additional seats?! Who are they in talks with to predict that level of growth? Exciting!

This is actually how it is working across most of Ireland. People are integrating into communities, and the local community does not want them to leave. A good reminder that Twitter is ≠ reality in Ireland.
