My heart is broken - my dear friend Peter is no longer with us in the physical form. I loved him and will miss him. What a wonderful artist. He’s left us with the gift of his incredible films and his insights on the filmmakers he so admired. I love you Peter.

A few years back we screened “In the Heat of the Night” during AIFF’s Film Week and it was the first time many of the audience had seen the film. We were reminded of the power of this film & the skill and emotion behind Mr. Poitier’s performance in it. Rest In Peace Mr. Poitier.
