This block we have been learning about people who help us in the community. We were lucky that our school lollipop person could visit us. We used our arts and crafts and made a lollipop stick just like theirs. Early Years NLC

We had another successful visit to the poly tunnel today, the children decided that they would like to try and grow beetroot, they helped dig little rows for their seeds before gently placing the seeds in and covering them up.Early Years NLC deirdre grogan
The children were really excited to discover how much their seeds had grown over the weekend, they decided to give the seedlings a little drink of water as they were really dry. What great little gardeners we have in nursery. Early Years NLC deirdre grogan

The children had the opportunity to visit Lidl to look for new plants for our allotment, they looked at lots of flowers, plants and mini fruit trees, the children decided to buy a little plum and apple tree. Early Years NLC deirdre grogan
The children have been learning about patterns outdoors today through a variety of materials. “I made a zig zag”, “you put a yellow and a green one then yellow again”.Early Years NLC
Mud kitchen was busy making potions, children requested red food colouring to change the sand adding it to their potions. Early Years NLC
Our families had a great time on our trip to Almond valley , the sun came out and we had fun exploring with our friends. Early Years NLC
The children were amazed to see how well their plants were growing in the poly tunnel, the children noticed the beetroot sticking up through the soil, we took a little bit out to investigate a few children were keen to taste the beetroot Early Years NLC deirdre grogan
The children were really excited to discover it was time to harvest our beetroot and WOW what a great harvest. We carefully pulled them up from the soil before taking them back to nursery to wash them and trim the leaves. Well done to our gardeners.Early Years NLC deirdre grogan
