“Of course. Those bags under your eyes are screaming coffee.” Derek chuckled lightly, moving back to his desk to finish up the paperwork he’d been putting off.

Throws a pen at him.

Derek had seen it coming. He expected nothing less than Spencer throwing it back at him. A small chuckle left his lips as he dodged the pen from hitting him. “Good morning, pretty boy. How’s your morning going?”

He’s passing him a coffee.

He’s offended that Spencer thinks Derek would give him any other coffee other than one that’s 95% sugar.

He was feeling generous today, and made his coffee exactly how he likes it. With sugar and just a hint of coffee. Because he’s weird.

Derek couldn’t help but chuckle, watching Spencer enjoy his coffee. He whole heartedly believes that Spencer would die without his coffee. “It’s not a problem. How have things been going for you recently?” Derek asked, moving to sit at his own desk.

Why did Spencer have to be one of the most dramatic people on earth? He gave him a small smile glad that for once he could honestly say things were going well. “Not too bad myself actually. Just living life day by day.”

“Honestly? Yes. The break was very much needed. Should I ask how many books you read?” Derek chuckled knowing Spencer well enough to know he probably didn’t do too much on said break from work.
