What happened to the rule of sub Judice in our Courts!! This whole thing of advocates politicizing serious cases and attempting to influence the outcome through the media needs to be urgently addressed by the courts to bring sanity to the justice system.

Our courts are timid when it comes to flexing their muscles to punish contemners. This is the result of such judicial hesitance!! I had a matter where the Respondent completed the construction of a 3 storey building from the ground, in disobedience of existing court orders!

Why is the judiciary so fickle to criticism?? Like all other institutions the public has the right to critique the conduct of judicial officer and that should not be seen as undermining judicial independence. Instead, the Judiciary should reflect and change cause.
