During my visit in Puerto Rico, I joined William Rodríguez-Rodríguez & Autoridad para el Financiamiento de la Vivienda to tour Mirador Las Casas Apartment, a 294-unit apartment complex being renovated with HUD disaster recovery funds. This project will bring updated, affordable rental homes to hundreds of families in San Juan.

Every American deserves affordable housing — yet in communities across our nation, the cost of housing is too high. Today, I announced that President Biden and I are investing $85 million to remove barriers to building affordable housing, lowering rents, and buying a home.
