It has been an amazing two days at the first Lassa fever International Conference. Kudos to the NCDC Team led by Chikwe Ihekweazu for organising an excellent conference. Defining the roadmap for the future of #LassaFever has begun!

I must say that the #LIC2019 was all the inspiration I needed to start working on my deliverables as an NFELTP resident. I learnt so much from giants in Public health. I now know the path I want to tow. The fire, zeal and passion in me have been rekindled. #KeepPushing

The 4th NCDC/NFELTP conference was a well organized one. The Pre-conference, plenary speakers and scientific presentations were carefully selected and kept participants focused and engaged all through. Kudos to the organizers for a job well done 👍 #NFELTPX19

It feels good to be one of the Nigeria FELTP residents in NCDC taking part in this all important survey. Indeed, the data will facilitate antimicrobial surveillance and stewardship in Nigeria. Kudos NCDC World Health Organization (WHO)

Surveillance and response to epidemic-prone respiratory diseases have traditionally been conducted through vertical surveillance systems & structures These parallel systems result in the duplication of resources and administrative processes

PRDS is a cost-effective way to monitor multiple respiratory diseases over time using a One Health approach This project is a critical step towards the rapid detection of emerging respiratory diseases, their origin, pathogenic cause, mode of acquisition, & transmission dynamics

Nigeria through the NCDC is set to pilot the PRDS Project with the support of the US-CDC. The PRDS team is working hard to ensure a successful implementation of the this innovation as Nigeria is one of the first countries globally to pilot the PRDS project.
