1. Assuming #k8s is a database.
2. Using CRDs as stand-in for a RESTful service (see also item 1).
3. Insisting everything should be level-driven with controllers.

Partnered with the Continuous Delivery Foundation (CDF) to write a post on the CDEvent specification. Orgs have a sprawl of CI/CD tools that can struggle to talk to each other. The CDF's doing great work to address this by developing an interoperable language for CI/CD events.

And here I thought Tokyo had it bad because of competing IC transit cards and a mobile experience that:

1. Only worked universally for iPhone. Android you need a device specific for Japan.
2. Only Japanese text. Zero i18n.

Seeing the Shinkansen in action puts in perspective just how backward our passenger rail infrastructure is in the US.

Raleigh -> DC is about the same distance as Tokyo -> Kyoto
