The figures show that only 16% of 295,197 social rent properties sold or demolished by councils or housing associations over a five-year period have been replaced. A deep, deep public housing policy failure.

Well Angela Rayner and Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov - this is what an almost completely unregulated sector ends up looking like. Make a break with the previous govt and get housing associations under control!

Join SHAC in condemning this move. Housing associations have a £4 billion surplus - they don't need to pick our pockets further Rachel Reeves. People are under enough financial pressure & beyond breaking point in some cases. Arrears are rising. Freeze rents & service charges.

SHAC Action The Labour Party The landlords use antisocial behaviour and, sometimes, deliberate false repairs as reprisals for reporting problems They keep false files on customers like the STASI And they fake inspections leading to death First we need to see who they are… …then we’ll get change

If govt insists on backing landlords over tenants' needs, it won't be long before a very deep disillusionment sets in. People will realise they’ve just elected different characters to pursue the housing policies that created the housing crisis. It's a recipe for disaster.

Lambeth Council's been evicting Homes for Lambeth Tenants to house the homeless on central hill. We've been demanding that the council fill empty homes. The cost to the public for these crass decisions Danny Adilypour must be through the roof as scammers, squatters and thieves take over. 3/3

Vivien Lash SNS nobody SHAC Action The Labour Party Yeah and then harassment is normalised against customers who speak out All endorsed and hidden by the industry watchdog that only barks after someone dies - Mr Ombudsman… … who Parliament gave special new powers to - powers to make plebs disappear

Vivien Lash SNS nobody SHAC Action The Labour Party Rachel Blake The fact is that the government, health care system, police, social services, etc know that many of these LLs are this country’s number one health risk We are run by people who know all about persuasion & nothing about morality

nobody HightownHousingProtest SHAC Action The Labour Party I get random “debits” added to my account, Horizon style, with no information on what the charge represents. Ombudsman found against Boho. Now they don’t show me the account! I must owe enough by now for Brownstuff to open another gallery.

It is still, shockingly, the case that people across Britain go to sleep each night fearing the outbreak of fire. More needs to be done to make our housing safe. Hopeful this time that all are now safe. 💚

One victim describes "‘living in terror and fear of attack and illegal eviction daily – dehumanised". It is impossible to overstate just how devastating ASB can be, and prolonged exposure magnifies the impact. It is certainly a moral crime when landlords ignore it.

Under Michael Gove's time in office, on all measures available, the performance of housing associations declined without exception. We need to see Matthew Pennycook MP take a firmer hand & stop allowing housing assocs just to mark their own homework.

SHAC Action (@actionshac) 's Twitter Profile Photo

According to Accent Housing's own survey, almost half those who complained of antisocial behaviour in their neighbourhoold felt that their landlord failed to address it properly (TSMs). Social landlords must be held to account for their failures Matthew Pennycook MP.

"Just under 69% of non-social blocks are still waiting to be made safe, compared with nearly 73% of social blocks." It's not a huge difference but it underscores the discrimination against social housing tenants and residents, and the stigma that endures.
