Black Maternal Mental Health Week begins tomorrow!

Led by MMHA member The Motherhood Group, #BMMHW was launched to raise awareness, highlight disparities, share resources, and break cultural barriers in maternal mental health for Black mothers. Please join the conversation #BMMHW 23.

While headway has been made over the yrs to raise awareness of #perinatalmentalhealth & resource specialist teams, greater attention is needed to develop an integrated approach of statutory & VCSE support for families, when they need it most.

The complex factors associated with #perinatalmentalhealth challenges point to an integrated approach, where early intervention is key. Community-based #VCSE services are a fundamental part of the blend of support needed for families.

Today, on International Father's Mental Health Day, we're joining forces with dadmattersuk, Acacia, Bluebell Care, and DADS IN MIND in Mind to share the stories of fathers who have opened up about their struggles with postnatal depression. #IFMHD2023 #DadsMHDay
