This morning, our convenor handed over the Best Debater Award and Citation to Mr. Doli Ori, a BA Political Science student of Dera Natung Government College, in their department. He missed the valedictory due to exams.

YMCR joined the Zero Waste Himalaya meeting at Deer Park Institute, Bir, with 34+ environmental groups from Bhutan, Nepal, and beyond to confront plastic pollution. Through discussions, workshops, we reinforced our commitment to a sustainable Himalayas. Collaboration is key!

In collaboration with Dept of Environmental Science, IUGS Rajiv Gandhi University we are organizing Yagamso River Cleanup, at Chandranagar Stretch, Itanagar on May 3, 2025, starting at 6:30 AM. Over 200 volunteers are slated to join the cleaning.

What began as a modest cleanup drive in Itanagar’s Green Belt in 2016 has today evolved into a grassroots movement that’s not only removing garbage from riverbanks but also attempting to reshape public attitudes towards sustainability and ecological responsibility.

Interns from Youth Mission for Clean River marked #VanMahotsav with a plantation drive at Govt. Secondary School, Chimpu, and a river cleaning activity at I.G. Park. The effort will enhance green cover & improve water quality, reflecting a commitment to a cleaner, greener future.
