Look at all the ways my students used powers of 10 to write numbers! Thanks Desmos for your Scales and Weights lesson to introduce the concept of scientific notation. Way to go 8th grade Orange Middle School!

The Desmos turtle is a fave with my 8th graders. The turtle reappeared in a new lesson and the exclaimed β€œthe turtle is back”! Thanks Desmos Classroom for the on point student engagement.

One of my favorite Desmos features! It really gives ownership of the learning to each individual in the classroom. Excited to create my own Challenge Creator slides!

I use a post it note, but this is such a great tip for using Desmos effectively. Pacing and pausing are important to get the most student engagement and conversation during your lesson.

My Charger Time group did some investigating fractions on a number line. Thanks Jenny Ainslie for the idea and materials! Much more success this time around.
