Ik hekel het narratief waarin de huidige manier waarop universiteiten zijn georganiseerd wordt weggezet als verdienmodel. Er is geen winstoogmerk en het personeel heeft geen aandelenpakketten. Universiteiten hanteren een DIENmodel, dienstbaar aan onze studenten en samenleving.

Thursday, PhD student Mark van Oldeniel defended his excellent dissertation. He did very well and fully deserved the drinks in the evening with (old) friends and family. Thanks to Julia Nafziger for being part of the committee.
