Delighted to support Breast Cancer Now, on #WearItPink day. On average, 94 people a week are diagnosed with breast cancer. By raising awareness, we can drive forward life-changing research, and support those living with breast cancer across Scotland and the rest of the UK.
I’m proud to support this year’s ‘wear it pink’ day to raise awareness of Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer Now #WearItPink
Will you #WearItPink, raise money and help Breast Cancer Now drive forward life-changing breast cancer research and support? Get involved at wearitpink.org
Congratulations Cat Smith MP on being elected as the new chair of the Petitions Committee as you join Marsha de Cordova, @toniaantoniazzi, @ScottBentonMP, @elliotcolburn, Martyn Day SNP, @nickfletchermp, @Rees4Neath and Matt Vickers MP on this vital committee.
I always get on board with #WearItPink, raising money and helping Breast Cancer Now drive forward life-changing breast cancer research and support? Get involved at wearitpink.org
As chair of Health and Social Care Committee I am doing all I can to support this campaign. Will be raising again with members at our meeting next Tuesday.
📢New research!📢 We find that #breastcancer will cost the UK an alarming £2.8bn in 2024.❗️ Our report, supported by Breast Cancer Now, sets out how government and policymakers must safeguard Britain against the crippling human and financial burden of the disease. 1/2 ⬇️
I back Breast Cancer Now’s breast screening awareness campaign. An estimated 1,300 lives from breast cancer could be saved every year in the UK through screening. There is #NoTimeToWaste - we need to improve the uptake of breast screenings.
I’m proud to support Breast Cancer Now and their campaign for breast screening awareness. There is #NoTimeToWaste - we must urgently improve the uptake of breast screenings which help to save an estimated 1,300 lives every year.
Breast screening saves lives but the take up rate in our local area is far too low - just 55.2% of all eligible women & 46.9% of women invited for the first time I was glad to join Breast Cancer Now in Parliament today Please attend your breast screening appointment when invited
Grateful to Breast Cancer Now for briefing MPs on their #notimetowaste campaign to improve breast screening uptake. The Aylesbury and Wycombe breast screening unit is outperforming the national average on screening uptake, but always room for improvement to save women’s lives.
In UK Parliament today asked Penny Mordaunt about getting approval for the drug #Enhertu following its recent rejection by NICE. Campaigners Hannah, Helen & nadia sawalha came to see me on this issue earlier in week & with Breast Cancer Now we will keep up the pressure!
Thank you to nadia sawalha, @hannah_jg1 and Craig Tracey for supporting our #EnhertuEmergency campaign. We’re past 166,000 signatures already. Add your name today! action.breastcancernow.org/enhertu-emerge…
"Creating memories for loved ones and having hope for the future." Our chief exec Delyth Morgan tells @commonshealth what access to #Enhertu could mean for women with incurable HER2-low secondary breast cancer.
We had a very busy day in parliament yesterday talking about #Enhertu. It kicked off with our chief exec Delyth Morgan speaking at a Health and Social Care Committee Future Cancer Inquiry session on how NICE evaluates drugs. You can watch the session in full here 👇 parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/3e…
