Got to love Mercedes-Benz. I receive a letter about a recall….’a technical problem has been identified which we would like to resolve immediately’. It’s something that can may cause an issue with steering. Ring them to book in. When’s the earliest appointment?…2 weeks!!🙄🤬

This time out on the @trekbikes Emonda to see how my climbing legs are. I can confirm that Goyt’s Lane up to Long Hill is brutal following the climb up from #kettleshulme .

Today was a much nicer day to be out on a bike.
The sky was blue & the sun was out for the Public Services students from University Centre Wigan & Leigh College.
They definitely lucked out with the weather on their #guidedride today - Up, down and all around Rivington Pike.✌🏻👌🏻

2) Thankfully the way home was less eventful. I headed back via some of the #nationalcyclenetwork and the #transpenninetrail . Much more civilised and relaxed. Maybe I’ll #commutebybike more often….just not so much on roads.

1) I don’t want to be a whiney cyclist complaining about drivers, but there are some shockingly inept ‘professional’ drivers on the roads. I came within inches of getting wiped out this morning by a ‘road maintenance lorry’ completely oblivious as to how close he was! 🤬

Our final day in the Lakes was supposed to be a trek up Helvellyn. Easter Sunday left the whole area heaving. Zero parking so we headed back to the campsite for a hike.
Still nice to get out and explore, even if it was on two feet and not two wheels! 👌🏻

Day two in the Lake District & we opted for a cracking ride along Ullswater. Taking in a few of the many trails around #martindalecommon .👌🏻

Yesterday I rode in shorts and a shirt. Today I rode in pants, base layer, shirt, long sleeved shirt and a rain jacket. Absolute vile morning weather wise on the bike.
