It has been a pleasure, engaging with the many Kenyans living in Japan. I was especially pleased, to meet with H.E Amb. Tabu Irina and Khadija S Issa who are supporting our athletes in Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Japan. We took this picture before I left for the #TokyoOlympics opening ceremony.

I also met with Witold Bańka , who is the President of the World Anti- Doping Agency WADA , to discuss our areas of cooperation, in promoting clean and fair competition, amongst our athletes.

We are in agreement that it is important to educate our young athletes on matters anti-doping, to ensure their long term success on and off the tracks. Moving forward, our partnership with WADA will engage more young athletes in ongoing Anti-Doping initiatives.

Our relationship with Japan spans many decades,and our sports and cultural exchanges, have contributed to this warm and cordial bond. It was therefore, a pleasure to meet with H.E Koichi Hagiuda, Minister for Education,Culture, Sports,Sciences and Technology in Japan 文部科学省　MEXT

My meeting with 文部科学省　MEXT , explored the training and capacity building opportunities, that exist for our athletes in the areas of sports research and technology. Together, we will provide more scholarships in these areas, to our promising athletes and their handlers.
