I'll be tuning in tonight to monitor this hearing in Paterson regarding an ordinance criminalizing poverty and mutual aid, and encourage everyone to tune in, ask questions, show up to the rally, and advocate.

Instead of fighting poverty, the Mayor of Paterson is fighting the poor.

His new ordinance regulates individuals and organizations that help community members in need.

You can get a $2,000 fine or face jail time for feeding or clothing someone.

We are asking for anyone who understands the harm this ordinance will cause to poor and working class people, and those that help, to call into the city council meeting this Tuesday at 7pm.
