A few certificates were handed out at break time today - Jess and Lydia have each read over a million words so far this year and Amelia has completed her silver student librarian award. Well done all of you 🎉

A group of students attended the Warwickshire Secondary Book Award Final this morning. They had the opportunity to meet several authors of the books they’ve been reading & got their books signed. The students were a credit to the Academy, displaying excellent behavior throughout.

Alongside librarian duties these students have been counting their hours of volunteering towards Lions International Young Leaders in Service Awards. David Henderson from Alcester Lions popped in today to award them with their certificates and badges. Congratulations to them all 👏🏻🎉

Lydia (Billesley) completed the first student librarian award just before we broke up for Easter 🙌🏼🎉 She will now go on to do the bronze award. School Library Association (SLA)
