God sees the children freshly written out of law in Ireland. He sees the children ripped from their mothers’ arms at the US border. He sees the abandoned children languishing in our foster system. He sees them all. And so should we.

When you stay engaged with Scripture and wrestle with the hard parts that challenge you, there is amazing joy in the discoveries that follow. Deep, sustaining joy as you realize God's revelation of Himself to us through the Bible is trustworthy.

God has not called you to be awesome. He has called you to be humble, faithful, and free. Leave the awesome to him.

A takeaway from Jonah: It is possible to speak the truth while in the flesh. Do not assume that by your fiery preaching of truth you are actually loving those you preach to.
