Another thing too is that fewer artists are coming from the church (their fault), so the musical and emotional depth feels thinner. The church used to be one of the best incubators for raw, disciplined talent. Singers used to grow up living *inside music* before chasing fame.

Everyone is addicted to social media (artists included) and it bleeds through the music. Our attention span is shit so we get bored so quickly; the audience wants instant dopamine hits and the artist no longer has the luxury of patience. Everything has to slap immediately.

The artist, the audience, the art… we’re all just products now. Packaged outputs for an endless loop of consumption. Even me. May god help us all.
