Another out of classroom but in class type of day for Pre K, Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students, Staff and Families. Today we stopped in at Hunananiho, visited with Pūhā Stream, gazed up at Puʻu Lanipo, Aniani Nui and learned about watershed and water cycles.

Mahalo nui to our wonderful team today, launching into a long held dream, now a reality. This site sits on the boundary of the District Park, and acts as a water capture space. For years it was overgrown and became a trash filled reminder that we need to do more. So we did.

Mahalo to our wonderful team! Today was a focus on the marine ecosystem and the shoreline. For years the erosion has continued to shape and reshape the shore. We have been using Uhau Humu Pōhaku to reduce the erosion, building and weaving kuapā into the area.

Mahalo nui to our awesome team for the continued stewardship here at Muliwaiʻōlena. The site continues to allow us the opportunity to learn in so many wonderful ways. We worked on detailed weeding within native plants and ecosystems and were able to do alot of intimate work.
