the best version of you is the one who closest to Allah, if losing brought you to Allah, then thank Allah for the journey, because sometimes what breaks you is what builds you, and what leaves you is what leads you back to Allah

وَإِذَا جَاۤءَكَ ٱلَّذِینَ یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِـَٔایَـٰتِنَا فَقُلۡ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَیۡكُمۡۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةَ أَنَّهُۥ مَنۡ عَمِلَ مِنكُمۡ سُوۤءَۢا بِجَهَـٰلَةࣲ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَنَّهُۥ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ﴿ ٥٤ ﴾
