It's hard to find child care. If you can find it, you might not be able to afford it. If you can find it and afford it, there might be a waiting list 8 miles long. As a country, we need to invest in universal child care so we can build a future for every family.

Just got off a commercial flight where I happened to sit on a row with 4 unaccompanied migrant children. They are not “migrants flying in by night.” They are teenagers, nervous about taking their first flight and eager to reunite with family in states all over the US.
