This is the story of how No Evil Foods fired their entire Asheville production team without warning or severance, ignored fundraising efforts to assist their former workers, and then had the audacity to create their own fundraiser a year later to help their struggling company.

“The company told the ⁦NLRB⁩ it closed the Augusta restaurant because it was failing, not to prevent a union from forming.” LOL centralmaine.com/2022/11/22/chi…

UPDATE: The Senate just voted (80-15) to force a contract between rail workers and unions, without paid sick days. The contract will now be sent to Biden's desk and he's expected to sign.

The fact that there are not 60 senators willing to stand up to Big Business and fight for basic rights for U.S. rail workers is horrific.

Yesterday, a community member captured the moment our unionized friends at 29th & Willamette in Eugene, OR marched on the boss and walked out on strike. The grievances cited included unfair dress coding, misogynistic comments, abusive behavior, and health code violations.

"The CWA accused Apple of forcing employees at the Georgia store to attend daily, mandatory meetings that discouraged union membership and questioned employees. The union said it did not think fair elections were possible, and the NLRB's local director has formally agreed."

The No Evil Foods fundraiser is a shameful clusterfuck. They started it by saying they need money to open their online store, but then hit $15k, said that was enough for the online store, and that they need $50k to "prove to Whole Foods and Sprouts that we're back" -- uh, what?

Martin Luther King Jr supported unions and the rights of workers to organize, and yet every MLK Day these union busting CEOs come out of the woodwork to memorialize a watered down version of MLK that ignores all of this.
