Schools and weather update. All South Lanarkshire schools and nurseries will be closed today (Wednesday). This is due to expected worsening weather and road conditions throughout the day.

Given the ongoing weather issues ALL South Lanarkshire schools and nurseries will remain closed tomorrow (Friday). The amber (be prepared) warning for this area has been extended to 10am Friday, and a yellow (be aware) warning is in place for much of Scotland until Monday night.
