Liam Beadle Alice Jolley Laurence Price Joshua Tomalin Infant baptism is done on the expectation that the parents and godparents are going to raise the child in the Christian Faith — if that's not the case, it's pretty pointless.

Liam Beadle Alice Jolley Laurence Price Joshua Tomalin Insincerity hinders the effects of baptism. Whilst, as Augustine says, ‘Mother Church lends other feet to the little children that they may come; another heart that they may believe; another tongue that they may confess’ that is in the person of their parents and godparents.

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. May we use the days that He has given us not to further our own cause, but to live like Christ: in humility, with integrity, and for the goal of advancing His gospel to the ends of the Earth. #KesCon25

Hot take #1: you should pay your pastor. Hot take #2: It is neither necessary nor desirable to starve your pastor to find out if he’s called

"Do you want to see a guillotine in Piccadilly?" "No!" "Want to call that raggedy-ass Napoleon your king?" "No!" "You want your children to sing the La Marseillaise?" "No!" "Mr. Mowett, Mr. Pullings, starboard battery!"

There are good reasons not to blur adulthood and childhood. Rights, protections and obligations are differentiated. If 18 remains the age of majority, even if not voting, then it’s worth emphasising that 16 and 17 year olds are not adults and the vote is being given to children.

My hot take: Theology nerds (like me) need a lot more scripture reading for spiritual sustenance than obsessing over historic theology.
