National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is observed on December 7 to remember and honor the 2,403 Americans who were killed in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941. Join us today as we honor their memory and stand united in remembrance.

#OnThisDay in 1962, over 250 MDARNG soldiers were activated in response to the “Ash Wednesday Storm”. While the Ocean City area dealt with extreme flooding in the aftermath of the natural disaster, our soldiers patrolled damaged homes and businesses to deter criminal activity.

.MD National Guard Soldiers provided public affairs and logistics support to Vibrant Response 24, an exercise that enabled military units to work with federal and state agencies to validate their response to a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear event. ngpa.us/29516
