-TOP GUN TALK- On Monday Maj Sorrells an F35B Pilots of the US Marine Corps based out of RAF Marham gave a inspirational talk to our cadets. The night was very much enjoyed and hopefully the cadets have taken away some advice of overcoming life obstacles.

-A SAD GOODBYE- This week the #2484family says a sad goodbye to two cadets who have dedicated years of their lives to the air cadets. CWO Banks and FS Anderton's service and exemplary standards will be sorely missed at the squadron and throughout the wing. Beds & Cambs Wing

-A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME- This week the #2484family visited the IWM London to see a number of exhibits on various topics such as the Troubles, WW1 and the Holocaust. The Holocaust exhibit was a particularly moving #flying #whatwedo #iwm #london #museum #aircadets #history

As the #PoppyAppeal officially launches, I just want to say a big thank you to all of our people, cadets and veterans who will be helping to sell poppies across the UK in the coming weeks. I’ll proudly be wearing mine from today, have you got yours yet? Royal British Legion

-SUPPORTING THE POPPY APPEAL- This weekend the #2484family was very busy fundraising for the Royal British Legion poppy appeal, they raised a substantial amount of money for the poppy appeal by selling sweet cones at the Baldock Fireworks and fundraising at the hoops in Bassingbourn.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. We will remember them.

- FOR OUR TOMORROW, THEY GAVE THEIR TODAY - Today the #2484family split across two parades, one held in Bassingbourn and the other in Royston. However this weekend of rememberance started with a selection of cadets attending USAAF memorial on the Saturday at MRTC BASSINGBOURN

-CROSS COUNTRY SUCCESS- This weekend the #2484family participated in the @beds_and_cambs_wing cross country. We were very successful winning two categories; Senior boys and Junior boys. Congratulations to: Cpl Rustean - Senior Boys Cdt Heal - Junior Boys Junior Boys teams (2nd)

-RAISING THE STANDARD- A few weeks ago the #2484family attended the Cambridgeshire Royal British Legion Youth Standard Bearer Competition and training. Sgt Sims and Cpl Alfad competed in the competition with Cpl Alfad coming 2nd and Sgt Sims just behind in 3rd.

-PROMOTION- Recently the #2484family had the pleasure to promote 3 Sgts. Sgt Hammond, Sgt Rowlands and Sgt Blundell have consistently demonstrated their talents and abilities becoming key members of the squadron

-PROMOTION- This week the #2484family promoted FS Ellis. Flight Sergeant (FS) is the second SNCO rank. A cadet holding this rank would be expected to play a significant role in the running of his or her Squadron.

-ATC SUNDAY- Last Sunday the #2484family celebrated the 83rd ATC Sunday. This year the parade was held in St Neots with the cadets doing a circuit of the town square followed by an inspection by reviewing officer Sqn Ldr Dolton along with Mayor Cllr Simonis and Wing WO Tye.
