As a member of the 24-7 National Leadership Council, I went to Capitol Hill during our first 100 hours of the People’s Filibuster to share testimony encouraging the passage of Bipartisan gun safety legislation last week.

President Biden has signed the most sweeping gun violence bill in decades.

The legislation will toughen background checks for the youngest gun buyers, keep firearms from more domestic violence offenders and help states set red flag laws. apne.ws/8kLbiPB

My recovery has taught me that it’s not the setback that defines us, but how we respond to it.

It's ok to be angry, sad, and terrified. I know I am. But we will emerge from this stronger and we will fight back harder.

We applaud members of Congress from both sides of the aisle for passing the Safer Communities Act, which is now the most significant gun safety legislation in decades.

With a bill passing in the U.S. House and Senate, it moves to the president for his signature. It remains important to keep listening:
