Carl Erskin was the last of the boys of summer from the famous Brooklyn Dodgers teams, but his legacy was not for that but for the foundation he laid supporting athletes like his son Jimmy and all of Special Olympics athletes around the globe, especially those from Special Olympics Indiana.

Today Special Olympics, Brookings Global and Global Partnership for Education have brought together policy and decision-makers, researchers, and practitioners committed to advancing education for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
