It is that time of the year again when our cadets go out in support of the poppy appeal running up to remembrance Sunday. It's been great to see the generosity of the public that donate for the Royal British Legion each year.

Today the squadron paid respects to those who have fallen in combat, today also marks 100 years since the end of World war 1.

This week we had a visit from RAF careers (south east). The cadets took part in Operation X, which gave them a brief insight into how the Royal Air Force operates and the individual trades.

Today a few cadets completed an advanced flight simulator session. Looking at how to land an aircraft using instrument landing system, navigating using GPS and also flying under air traffic control commands.

Last week 5 of our cadets went to Buckingham Palace to receive their Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. Well deserved. 🎖🎉
