I realized today that I'd not shared some big news with Twitter... we had a baby on June 16! Meet Griffin Ray Anderson, named Ray after my late grandfather and a pastor who had a huge influence on my spiritual formation. We're smitten with his giddy personality and sweet smile!

I come back to Twitter after a long hiatus, and I have no clue what’s happened. There’s a subscription model now? There’s still a character limit, but people also have really long tweets? What’s this “Twitter circle?” I’m so confused.

1. I must consider every member's dignity and value. Leaders are tempted to view people as cogs in a machine. Some seem valuable and beneficial, others less important. Pastors *can't* afford to do so. We must believe and practice that all people matter, just like in a family.

Hello, I’m back after a long hiatus and cannot figure out a couple of things about Twitter or X or whatever. 1. Why do I see so many in my feed I don’t follow now? 2. How you write these really long posts? Help me out!

I have a new Substack post today! What is “margin,” and why do we need it in our schedules and our minds? Today I'm sharing some thoughts about how Jesus’s own life and ministry on earth give us some clues. open.substack.com/pub/lanieander…

I don't talk much about deconstruction--mainly to preserve the privacy of those I know who are actively untangling their past religious experiences. But one thing I've observed in my own life is that grieving must be part of the process of evaluating the past
