This year primary school funding was ‘restored’ to the same level it was 15 years ago. Imagine trying to manage on what you were paid 15 years ago- to pay energy bills, insurance, cleaning, etc. It’s a wonder only 70% ran a deficit.

Day 2 of #Misneach from Oide Leadership with talks and clinics held with a variety of stakeholders such as CPSMA FSSU_ie INTO (Irish National Teachers' Organisation) Educate Together as well as IPPN and NCSE yesterday. Always good to know you’re never alone as a school leader.

I'm going to be appearing on this on Thursday evening. Let's hope those that have to fight every day are listened to after this. No more announcements, strategies, or pilots. It's time to reverse the damage already done and fix it.

Staying on top of publication from Dept of Education can be a real issue or something I've found. Despite best efforts to set aside time to read and really take not of documents it doesn't always happen. I've found Notebook LM a huge asset for this.
